Tales of the Weekend

{please ignore the cheese smile}

Last night i went out with the Shark to dinner and a movie. A LATE dinner and movie.
Ok let me tell you the tales of my heart attack!

So I am driving over there, belting out a sick tune {the newest Carrie Underwood} when I hang a u-turn to park the correct way out side his house when my {automatic}car stalls! Just stops! My steering wheel locked up, I am rolling forward towards these small children who are NOT paying attention. So I SLAM as hard as I can (WITH BOTH FEET) on my brake and flip it into reverse. Then, somehow still having any momentum at all I start to back into someones yard! This is when I put my emergency break on and sit. Sit in freaked out "WHAT THE HELL just happened" silence.
I tried to restart the car and got NOTHIN! Twice!! I am literally two houses down from his.
 I call him. No answer.
I call him again. No answer.
 I text him
I call trusty bff Underwood to help me think what my next step is. Finally we decide
One: I need to calm the f down.
Two: the car isn't going anywhere..anymore.
Three: go get the shark and see if he can help.

UGH.
I clicked my way down the block to his house where he had just come outside and sees I am frazzled. He climbs in and starts it with no problem and pulls it into his driveway. He mixes me a slammin cranberry vodka and then we continue on with our night as planned.
 But Lordy!

Last Saturday this little guy and I {along with momma Underwood of course} went to party City to pick out birthday toys, treats, and themes. he picked a Pink cake and Dora. LOL We died. Then he settled on Toy Story and we bought it all and left the store before he changed him mind again. He is adorable.

{kind of a dark shot sorry}
yet another attempt at the "Bump" and to have better hair when I go out into public Saturday night...

yeah it ended up in a pony because it is hotter then blazes out here and my sista and I went to a bar/club that is inside/outside. yucko. sweaty-o
{also my butt looked GIANT in about three of the four pre shots!}

Sunday was my last day house/puppy sitting. So I spent the day cleaning up, and baking Welcome Home cupcakes in an attempt to decorate them like sunflowers.. mmmm not so sure how they turned out.. oh Well. They loved them and thats all that matters right :)

When we went out on Saturday night I decided to branch away from the normal beer I am usually seen slugging and try a Chocolate Martini. It was good! Strong but good!
Then a bunch of dudes put their grubby little hands on it and I lost interest in the drink.

Yesterday I attempted some healthy blueberry and {my fav} blackberry bars.
Although they are very tasty, and I cut the sugar in it by about a fourth, they came out more of a crumble mess..and less like a bar... what can ya do right?

I am sure I'll be trying this again.. after I eat the entire cake pan that it :) mmmmm cake.

All in all Ladies. I baked, cleaned, freaked and boogied down these last few days.. and each one of those days my hair has been done, make up on, and nails painted {no chips}
I'm feeling like a real big kid!

Update 1 of 2

OK
YES. I look like a crazy person because no I am not getting married, but let me explain.....

...

..
.
Ok I cant really explain past I really really wanted to try one on.. so there.
But this picture remains as one of my favorite of myself and my beautiful friend (who is in fact getting married)

In fact!
Her Bridal Shower was this past weekend and her twin sis (Underwood of course) and I put on a the event at their parents giant house.

The party was interesting to say the least girls. Social etiquette is a rare thing I tell ya!
I wont go into all the details and missteps, but I will say this much:

The Maid of Honor and Myself started out VERY pleased with ourselves and the party!

The cake I decorated for the day was an attempt to copy the inspiration I got from blog I am Baker

Beautiful Bride to be!

Her Grandma won the TP Dress competition :)

The girls
(Bride to be top right, Maid of Honor in purple on bottom right and myself far right (being a lady in my new dress) otherwise known as the "Tripod")

The party was to be from 11-1pm on Saturday.
we had games, food (TONS in fact) decorations, prizes, music, drinks, and anything else we could think of!

But the party just... kept... going?
It was odd really. No one wanted to go lol.
The group was a small group of girls the bride to be chose personally to keep it just her closest friends

But ladies it was time to GO!

Shit man. I started to clean up after awhile as a clue.. it was now WELL past one and it isnt that the girls were even having a blast.. everyone just kinda sat there and looked to Underwood and I for.. what? I dont know lol. We brought the day to a close SEVERAL times offering the party favors in their pretty boxes and did all our "thank you for comings", and still no one left.
THEN! Hope! Their Grandmother decided to be the first. Surely the other girls would feel ok leaving now that someone has "started it" you know sometimes that helps..?

But no.

(bomb Oreo balls Underwood hand crafted I'll get the recipe!)

Ladies please don't do this to party throwers lol.
The family wanted their house back for the love of sam! I was late for another meeting which I thought I safely scheduled two and a half hours after the party should have ended...

So then Underwood and I became Oh So Annoyed and put at a loss..
How in the hell do you kick people out? Nicely of course?

Underwood announced that when he son arrived she and the bride to be needed to leave to get him fit for his tux for the big day.
Well, he arrived and still they sat.

oi.

Tuesday Truth Day

Truthfully, I have pretty much dropped the ball with the whole losing weight and staying fit thing. I am not going to lie to you...mostly because I am under "T T D" oath lol..

I really really really.. don't mind the extraness that is me at the moment.

I am aware however, that I am to be wearing and photographed in two strapless dresses this summer, and need to tone these giant arms of mine. That being said another order of whoopass has been ordered so that I may call upon any strength and willpower I have to muster up the dedication to work out and eat less.. much less..much much less in fact.

{OH! Here is my first cake from the Cake Decorating class I take on Monday nights.. be kind it is my first one! lol}

So...
Goodbye late night Cheese Nips
So long "just a taste" tests when I bake
Check ya later pasta straight out of the pot I made ya in

Ugh again FOCUS! My on going motivation ladies.. motivation and possibly obsession
(Have you seen her leg muscles people!)

Today I was on the 'ol Yahoo extravaganza that is their crazy "news" scroll.. and came across something actually worth while!

Here are a few of the pics I got from this site, an album of animals caught on camera
(thought we could all use a little lighter post following the one I posted the other day eh?)

(maybe my favorite of all the pictures.. how freaking cute is this guy! (or gal?) Am I right..)

Also awesome
(I feel an obnoxious erg to speak to this large cat in my version of an Australian accent "ELLO LOVE!)

HAHA! Cute little monkey face!! Marcell? Is that you?

and last but certainly not least

random I know, but why not? its a freaking fantastic movie!

The Project

My "Project" has been this: Find the Bucket List I made a few years ago.

Wee back story: My dear bestie and I worked together a few years back and would have some of the most hilarious, interesting, and wonderful emails to each other that read more like comedy scrips or pen pal letters between long distance friends...

In one email forgetting now whose idea it was hers or mine, I excepted the challenge to create my Bucket List. Re Reading this I realize I am perhaps a little strange with almost unreasonable goals in life..

I have have changed some in my mental list, but kept this one the exact same as when I wrote it...
Somethings have been removed in my minds list, and something have been added..
I'd LOVE love love to have people either put their list in their post, or email me with their lists too! I may feature some of them :) Either top three or as you can see however many you want to list is fine by me !!!
(The ones that have Stars **** next to them are ones I can check off as done!!)

Find my favorite place and perhaps have a child or two or nine, and live modestly of my riches...

bucket.

Soooo Sorry I was MIA today from my blogs and all of yours! We have been super duper busy and there just simply hasn't been any time.

BUT I will give a clue as to what I have been working on, and tweaking (in a normal.. healthy.. none crack head sort of way) on for my next post!

"bucket" isn't referring to this adorable little ones' best insult...
(yes my adorable nephew doesn't have a mean bone in his body so it isn't so much as an insult as it is rather the silliest thing he can think to call you to then make him BUST into giggles.. a "bucket")

No this is referring to something else.. something more like....
weheartit.com

this!

Ponder away!
(Underwood don't give it away!!)

Weekend Update

Cheers!
Last week was a nut house. Here here to the start of a new week, and a better day eh?
I kicked off my weekend Friday with a glass of wine and oatmeal chocolate chip cookies I brilliantly added peanut butter to.

..while being attacked by the house kitten Agnes. She is a terror and won't let you forget it. You can't take more than two steps in this house with out looking down to see this:

Saturday I slept. and slept. and slept. it was awesome!
I needed sleep like no other.
it rained, the wind howled, and mamba and I watched Rent the Broadway taping then took it over to my sister house where we updated our online dating pages laughing out loud for a good hour while doing so. Then ate the yummie cookies and watched rent into the late hours of the night.
Then I slept some more.

Sunday I woke up not feeling so hot, but pulled myself up and managed to clean, vacuum, dust and wipe down my room, bathroom and kitchen.

I also made it out to the Chandler Public Library to check out a few books that I have seen from other bloggers. One was checked out (Pink LouLous Something Borrowed) and decided to pull up Audrey Onassis post recommending My Fair Lazy.

I walked a little ways with new books in hand (also checked out Steve Martins new novel)
and decided to pick a spot in the trees amongst the fountains and downtown hustle and bustle and read a few chapters.

It has been more than a few years since I have actually been out of my car and walking around the downtown area. It is really nice!
It felt like I was walking onto a movie set of the perfect day in the park.
Kids playing and running. The leader of the pack with a fist full of birthday balloons.
Birds(keeping their distance in the trees) chirping. Mostly sunny but every few minutes a large cloud passed in front of the sun and cast a temporary shadow on everything and the wind became cool and brisk.

I couldn't hold still and read. I walked along the shops and looked into the windows for a bridal boutiques and bakery shops...

When i got home I watched a not so great movie that won many awards called Dark Dancer...or Dancer in the dark... or something. Not great. Sad movie about a woman going blind who gets her money stolen. eck. not a cool movie. I turned it off not caring enough to see how it ended and began my
Cake Decorating Adventure!
I chose a marble cake in two 8' rounds

Filled and iced with classic chocolate frosting (butter cream is more ideal by the way for fondant)

covered with fondant, and tye died fondant heart cut outs and "dots" lol. My dots are sad, oddly shaped and very pointy! lol. BUT I will have you know I did a BOMB rose on a plate for practice! I then filled the plate because I was so excited I could do one well.
But there wasn't any room on the cake to start adding roses lol thats just too much frosting!

I hope all of you are starting your week off right with a slice of cake, and too much frosting.. or something equally satisfying!
