BlindSight

I was recommended this movie through Netflix (thank you Netflix.. no one knows me like you do!) after I watched 127 Hours.

"Six blind Tibetan teenagers that climb the Lhakpa-Ri peak of Mount Everest, led by seven-summit blind mountain-climber Erik Weihenmayer." What they don't tell you are the amazing stories behind each of these six teens, and how they came to be at the school of a blind German woman (Sally) who came to Tibet to open the school, and provide an encouraging place for these kids to learn, and come to know that they really CAN do anything. The movie also has a narrator that you can go into settings and turn off, it is for visualy impared viewers. I kept it on and from time to time would close my eyes and see if I could see the movie in my minds eye from the narrators descriptions. I could.. he was very good.
via
At the end of the movie a small boy is standing barefoot in the dirt outside a building singing at the top of his little lungs, "I can't see me Loving no body but you.. for all my life. When your with me baby the skys will be blue..." and sings this awesome Turtles song. It was endearing, up lifting, and made me so happy that such a happy fun, silly song made it's way over the sea, through the mountains, and into this small Tibetan village to this small boy.

I highly recommend.

Sometimes I get down thinking the there isn't enough good.
When I see a friend who is heart broken, and stuck in the pain.
When I hear crazy rants on the radio. That scandals are more news worthy then actual events and policies.
When I feel like people just don't care.

Then I get over myself and am able to come to the other side of that negative mole hill and see that the world is FILLED with people who care, and are making their own differences to the people they reach out to. If it is a friend in need, or a child in Tibet who can't see.

This weekend was a blast! I went to my sisters candle party loaded up with these organic cookies I bought from a nice Indian woman who makes them from scratch, and the chocolate raspberry tarts .. well the ones that survived anyway.

I bought a pack of six mini tart pans at William and Sonoma and made about 8 tarts so far that morning. PS the dough... not the same as pie dough. You've been warned! Pulling the shells out of the freezer (they needed to cool off.. quickly!) two broke! "Balls!" I yelled out.. like a lady baking on a beautiful Saturday morning should not. I made chocolate pudding with whipped cream to filled he shells with and then placed about six to seven of my best raspberries in the middle (upside down) and began my transfer from counter to carrier when I dropped another and pudding went everywhere! This was terrible news... AWESOME news for the cat Agnes who is always at the ready to quickly eat whatever I drop.. because if I am cooking, baking, or simply putting groceries away chances are food will be dropped. Oh well.
So I went from 8 down to 5. I know sad day right.
I think everyone liked them though and Ive had the joys of eating left over pudding and fruit for breakfast this weekend.
***
This weekend I watched three movies. Here is my short and sweet two cents on them each:
~Pinocchio~
Not great. I'm sorry. I don't know why I ever liked this movie as a kid. not only does the magic make NO sense, the kid never learns the first lesson of not lying. Sure he is brave by going and saving his father in the whale, but how much of that was because now he had NO home? I'm just sayin. This movie is wack.
~Bridesmaids~
Ummm I loved it. i wished it were a little more "The Hangover"-ish. But it was still pretty good. There were several things in the movie that made me want to straight up high five Kristin Wig and then ask her HOW she had been spying on my life without my knowing?
~The Kings Speech~
Yeah I'm a little behind the times on this one. SO GOOD though. I wanted to hug George, and also high five him (I'm big into the high fives right now?) I'm not totally sure how I feel about an Irish actor playing the role of an English King... But he did very well. So did his "wife" where I am used to seeing this actress play a bad guy in Harry Potter films, or a frizzy haired cartoon character in hubby Tim Burton's films. Well played by all.
***
I also started to read Tina Fey's Bossypants. On my way to buy Cage the Elephant concert tickets for the end of this month I the traffic on the on ramp slowly came to a stand still. Annoyed as it is a hot day in May in Az  and nothing but commercials to listen to on the radio. Then I realized "HOLD the phone.. I just bought a hilarious book.. no time like the present." And so I sat reading the first two chapters of the book in traffic watching cop after ambulance after fire truck go by. There are three unchanging facts about my car you gotta know..

1. The entire dash board shakes like Beyonce when I hit 45 miles an hour, and then she shakes like Shakira when I hit 65 miles an hour.. its just the charm of a 2003 Ford Focus.
2. The air conditioner is a bully. And at times he will win (yes my car is a "she" but my air conditioner is somehow a "he" don't ask).
3. The door will never not make that "bonk" noise when you open it because that deer did a number on the front end.

Man I am really going to miss my car when I go to NY. Speaking of NY.. here is a little hint about tomorrows news!!!

How was everyones weekend?

What Did You Dream of Being?

Can't wait for Water For Elephants to come out.. looks beautiful!
I loved getting your emails and comments in response to my recent post on some motherly advice. The story of my brother wanting to be in the circus and his bear "Scraggle Bear" being his elephant has some what stayed with me these past few days.

via

When I was younger I wanted desperately to be many things. First a Guardian Angel like in the movie "Heart And Souls". If you haven't seen it it is such a must! But when my Catholic roots told me nah nah I turned my focus to being the best cat there ever was.. and when that proved  near impossible I then took my turn at being a mermaid when I grew up. I mean who HASN'T hooked their ankles together in the pool and totes proved they could pull off the mermaid swim? And The Little Mermaid jump? Don't even get me started. I was a freaking pro at this. I had the perfect long hair and EVERYthing!

One of my older sisters wanted to be the Tooth fairy for awhile too..
Magical..

Yes that's what me and my brothers and sisters wanted to be when we grew up.. we all chose something magical and wonderful..

What did you want to be when you grew up??

First Date Update

Ok so we didn't exactly sneak into a fancy restaurant and "pose" with Will.I.Am. But it was fun still.
We met at a really yummy Italian restaurant and went on a hunt for karaoke from there.. which we did not find lol. We settled for a drink and more story telling instead. I will say this "new guy" is very sweet.

There seems to be a theme in the guys I meet.. now let me also say that it could be just good observation or  new form of disillusion brought on by mass amounts of really awesome t.v.
I find that the guys I run into are a Barney, a Ted, a Ross or a Nicky Arnstein. New Guy seems to be falling into the Ross/Ted category. When asked who I want.. I answered a hybrid of a Marshal (who isn't on the list because I think he is a true masterpiece of fiction) and Barney. Yep.

I spent my day off yesterday watching movies and lounging...here are my two cents:
Cute. Very cute. laughed a lot.. but I thought it would be funnier I guess because of the casting and because I am a sucker for movies like these..

This was good. I redboxed it. The story takes place in New Orleans which was wonderful because I miss it so much! I think I liked the fact that Kristen Stewart although tortured teen in this movie, wasn't the same tortured teen that she is in every other movie she is in.. so.. props!

What Up Doc. Old 70's comedy with Barbra Streisand and Ryan O'Neal was not as funny as I thought it would be :( bummer. I am on a Barbra kick right now for sure. I just love her! And although I loved her character much much in this movie, I just wasn't on board with it.. in fact I believe I just turned it off.

Yesterday was also the birthday of a very special friend of mine! She is super talented in pretty much every way.. yep yeah every way. She is so beautiful and generous. She can sing, dance, rap, take beautiful photos, and sell ya on just about anything. She is a charmer that girl.
I am so lucky to have such a wonderful and hilarious friend like she :)

From our some what ridiculous and out of control days of our youth.. just another day in the pent house of an American Idol top 10 finalist in San Fransisco. A trip she took me on when leaving town wasn't only a good idea but a life saver. Happy Birthday friend!

Also I seem to be attacking carbs like ... like... like something you'd attack head on and with furious appetite.

Look Around

thank you weheartit

Yesterday was a day of Rest, and Friends. I was able to catch up with my dearest of dear friends in the morning, run fun frilly (and bone chilling cold) wedding errands with another, then end the night with a movie with Fun Kim!

At Harkins to see No Strings Attached which was such a cute movie!
To be honest the fact that Natalie Portman has so many movies coming out this year I thought her acting would be forced and rushed, and probably just not that good in anything other then Swan. But I was pleasantly surprised that I almost cried, and laughed the entire time!
 Good show.. good show.
In other news I would very much like to marry Ashton's character.. whenever your ready Adam.. whenev

Last night as my friend packed day came to an end, the wind picked back up and I pulled on the 'ol pjs. I realized looking around my room that if you didn't know why I had some of these things it would seem very odd that I had them in my room.. or on display at all..
 Here is what I mean:

1) A baby alligator head. Yes it is real. And yes I still think it will spring to life and bite me each time I touch it. I bought this at the French Market in New Orleans.. they are everywhere and had to have one.. for some reason?

2) A fork. Clean and on display (proudly might I add) seems weird right? I mean I can be messy sometimes but not leave a fork on my dresser for months messy! (mother sh! that was when I was 15!) I have a little quirk about silverware.. I hope I'm not alone.. but I hate when a spoon or fork has no weight to it. Or is bendy, or in general just cheap. I dont' know where this came from but since I was little and picking out my spoon for my morning cereal I have been very picky about the weight and way it fits in my hand.. :/
The Cheesecake Factory though has some of the best! I love it!
That being said I will tell you this particular fork was a gift :) I thank you gift giver ;)

3) Squishy face toker I call him. This is something that an old friend and now acquaintance, made in high school in art class.. I found him to be the perfect incense holder and use it for that very thing to this day :)

4) Feathered masking hanging high. This mask was worn last year for a Marti Gras party. I don't think I'll wear it again this year.. but I cant get rid of it? Its the feather factor I think..

5) The mustache on the corner of my vanity mirror. This I got for a Halloween costume a few years back.. the Victor/Victoria inside me says this needs to stick around. I know a woman's vanity should be girlie, frilly and fem but it makes me happy what can I say?

6) The "You Go Glen Coco" note also hanging on my vanity mirror. OK this one brings pure joy! When my bestie was still working side by side with me for whatever reason she recalled a favorite line from Mean Girls. The fake Santa is handing out candy grams at the holiday and announces "Two for you Glen Coco, good for you Glen Cooco, You Go Glen Coco!"  That last tag line became our little motto for motivation and encouragement in the other.
My brother who was visiting caught on to my lingo and as motivation for my diet and work out routine posted this on the bathroom mirror one particular day I made it to the gym even though I complained the entire time to him getting ready.
Seeing this when I came back to shower made it sooo worth it.
1. my brother is adorable
2. my friend is hilarious
3. i love that movie

the note stays!

Have any weird or odd treasures laying around or proudly on display?

Tuesday Truth Day

On Sunday morning I went to go see Black Swan (which I love). But the relationship between the mother and daughter sorta hung out and haunted me the rest of the day...

Last night I started to watch Robin Hood with Russel Crow.. it was awful and I turned it off  and switched to a classic.. Steel Magnolias! Never have I wanted to be a girl from the south so much in my life (untrue. I wanted to be a Louisiana gal when I was in New Orleans fo sho).  While watching, I promptly sat up in my bed and cried my eyes out... we're talking ugly crying people. Sally Field does such an amazing job portraying the mother and all the emotions that come with loving and loosing a child...

***

I woke up this morning thinking how lucky I am that I have such an amazing mother who I know I can talk to about anything anything, and how different the relationships where between Nina and her mother, Shelby and M'Lynn, and me and my own...

But then I started thinking... and almost no one knows this...

Even though I tell people I don't really like children (which for the most part is true) and that I can't see myself with children (which is almost true..)
 Truth time..

I actually really want to have children of my own. I love my mom so much, and not every family is like that. But if I didn't have that kind of relationship with my own children, or they didn't have the kind of friendship I have with my brothers and sisters.. it would kill me. And that's the part where I can't see myself having children.
When you do have kids, you are putting into the world another human whose thoughts and feelings are going to effect everyone else around them.. and you are responsible for how this person is going to react, respond, love, communicate... ect. it's a lot of pressure. What if my kid is an ass? What if he or she is reckless with others emotions?
I know I can "what if" till I am blue in the face, and same goes for positives.. what if I have a child who saves lives of others?
I am just saying it's a lot to have to consider.. and the largest investment you can make. And I am going to from here on out stop talking in definites like "I do not want children" and start to be more honest and answer, "When I know I am ready, then I will"

How do you feel about kids?

Seeing Red !!!

YAY I didn't even know about this movie until this morning but I am already very excited for it. I am a Twilight nerd for sure, and the article says it will be directed by Catherine Hardwicke who did the first Twilight flick.

Amanda Seyfried is going to be the lead in the red cloak. She is so beautiful! Apparently the idea was Leonardo DiCaprios' which is just really kind of funny to me.. don't know why.. but it is lol.

This little Johnny Depp look alike will play Peter, a love interest of Red in the movie...and good night I am sooo sold!

The movie opens March of 2011 and I have a very good feeling that it will be the perfect movie to hold me over until breaking Dawn comes out, becuase I am starting to loose my interest in that story as it takes for ever for the movies to come out and I have read the books 200 more than a few times, and have it memorized to the point of literally acting it out as a one man show for my mom while she packed me this September.

What is everyone looking forward to seeing??

Some movies I'll be at this weekend fo sho:

Harry Potter. I never read the books.. thinking maybe I should? But the movies have so much already that it is hard to think I could follow any other additional plot lines!I love her hair too! So brave to go that short, but I think it fits her face pretty perfectly!
They look so amazing at the premier!!

...What Does An Animal Wear...

awww the airforce and the guys in it :)

So you can sing along at the top of your lungs too!

Here we go again
I kinda wanna be more than friends
So take it easy on me
I'm afraid you're never satisfied.

Here we go again
We're sick like animals
We play pretend
You're just a cannibal

And I'm afraid I wont get out alive
No I won't sleep tonight

CHORUS:
Oh, oh
I want some more
Oh, oh
What are you waitin' for?
Take a bite of my heart tonight
Oh oh
I want some more
Oh oh
What are you waitin' for?
What are you waitin' for?
Say goodbye to my heart tonight

Here we are again
I feel the chemicals kickin' in
It's gettin' heavier
I wanna run and hide
I wanna run and hide

I do it every time
You're killin' me now
And I won't be denied by you
The animal inside of you

CHORUS:
Oh, oh
I want some more
Oh, oh
What are you waitin' for?
Take a bite of my heart tonight.
Oh oh
I want some more
Oh oh
What are you waitin' for?
What are you waitin' for?
Say goodbye to my heart tonight

Hush, hush
The world is quiet
Hush, hush
We both can't fight it
It's us that made this mess
Why can't you understand?
Whoa, I won't sleep tonight
I wont sleep tonight

Here we go again
Here we go again
Here we go again

CHORUS

What are you waitin' for?
What are you waitin' for?
Say goodbye to my heart tonight.

Oh, oh
I want some more
Oh, oh
What are you waitin' for?
Take a bite of my heart tonight.
Oh oh
I want some more
Oh oh
What are you waitin' for?
What are you waitin' for?
Say goodbye to my heart tonight.

Yeah.. it's kinda like that.. A little..

Oops here I am!

I have been MIA on my blog the past week or so (sorry about that!) But I will be back in full swing next week! I have so enjoyed keeping up on all of yours however, and on my most busy days those few minutes have given me something beautiful to easy my nerves, something funny to keep me going, and something wonderful to look forward to, so thank you for being better blogers than I!

This weekend I have a few "to-do's" but mostly they are pretty relaxed plans. Except tonight! Tonight I am grounded! Not allowed out of my room except for water, and to shower (you know, like the good 'ol days)

One of the absolute loves of my life will be popping by Arizona just to see me to go to her brother in laws' wedding. None the less I get all her free time (yay!) She and her adorable fiance will be town for a few days, and my room is literally covered with a decent amount of cat hair. I know yuck. So I'll be doing my second real deep clean in my room and finally unpack that now rather mysterious last box at the foot of my bed. Hope nothing leggy and creepy has crawled in there to surprise me!

For this serious job I have decided tonight's rock out cleaning anthem will be all things Barbra. That's right Streisand folks. She and I have been amazing besties since the day my mom fell for my sick act in the fourth grade and the only thing on was Funny Girl.

Below, if your a fan, or a Barbra newbie, are a few of my favorites and if you have a few, or a mean dust bunnie I suggest you stop and listen!

This first clip is from Funny Girl. It starts off a little slow and tearful but just a minute in and I am crying and singing along!

A super early TV appearance by her. I love how young she looks! Also such a rad "I am over you" song!

What would a few clips be with out my two favs Barbra Streisand and Louis Armstrong? I think I'd like a grand entrance down stairs to have the same music lol

Now I have never seen Cats but I'd love to because I love this song.. right around 2.45 she hits it and gives me chills! CHILLS I tell you!... poor little street kitties..

OK I didn't even know this existed! lol I love Ray Charles (he is one of the people I bake to :) But this is pretty awesome with the two of them together!

lol Ok well I feel like I have cheated on one of my other true loves, Bette Midler (I must be absolutely killing some of you guys! lol) I love these songs, and woman they help to empower me, and these stories to show me that I am not so off my mark...

This is a cute short little song from Beaches, a beautiful movie about friendship.. anyway I pretty much feel like her at this point in my life lol

I have gone from dancer, to teacher, to massage, to chef.. what will it be next year? Who knows, but I still got my health!

Have a good weekend!

I just want my Cat

Soooo this is literally how my cat mamba greets me each day I come home, or just simply reenter the bedroom, AKA B cave where we both dwell a midst the Holiday Apple Cinnamon candle scent, Gilmore Girls, and treats!

Today is cloudy, and chilly out side. I feel a cold coming on with achy muscles and a talking into a bucket like hearing.. yuck. Vit C to the rescue!

I am currently very confused on why people make the choices they make. I know we are all different but isn't there a .. common scene like general response to things in life that we all share? Guess not. What a real bummer too, because I'd love to be able to understand those out of left field choices!

Currently needing a Thelma to my Louis Road trip

This song by Cheryl Crow came on today and it reminded me of when I was stuck on a merry go round of a relationship.. I jumped off, skimmed my knees, staggered to my feet once more, pulled twigs out of my hair and limped forward in a new direction. The people in my life are amazing no doubt... but whats with all the merry go rounds? I am getting sick trying to keep up with the constant motion, and emotion of it all.. is it time to leave the park?

Did I lose you completely in my analogy? lol Here are the lyrics that I love!

God, I feel like hell tonight
Tears of rage I cannot fight
I’d be the last to help you understand
Are you strong enough to be my man?

Nothing’s true and nothing’s right
So let me be alone tonight
Cause you can’t change the way I am
Are you strong enough to be my man?

Lie to me
I promise I’ll believe
Lie to me
But please don’t leave
**(um hello nail being hit on the head!)**

I have a face I cannot show
I make the rules up as I go
It’s try and love me if you can
Are you strong enough to be my man?

When I’ve shown you that I just don’t care
When I’m throwing punches in the air
When I’m broken down and I can’t stand
Will you be strong enough to be my man?

Lie to me
I promise I’ll believe
Lie to me
But please don’t leave

Day Eight

Day 8 Asks: List Three Turn Ons...

Brothers shield your eyes, ladies close your blinds  ;)

1. A Sense of humor! One of my favorite scenes in a movie is when Heath ledgers character busts a move and a tune in front of the school to woo Cat back... **sighhhhh** aaaaah Heath Ledger... He and Warren  double for great smiles, another thing to add to my list.

2.  Confidence. NOT someone who is full of themselves. I think Will Smith has mastered this to a "T". All the other little goodies like his smile and arms don't hurt either of course :)

3. An accent like these musically blessed boys from England. Any accent will do.. well almost any. I'm not sure my knees would weaken with a Russian accent.

 Ladies care to share ...?

Gooooooood Morning!

Good Monday Morning all!

Over the weekend I had an absolute blast with my beautiful friends. Friday night I caught the 7 o'clock showing of Easy A. I highly recommend this movie. It was extremely cute! I think I liked the father the most which is played by Stanley Tucci. I really like him in his other roles such as in Devil Wears Prada and Julia Julia where he plays the best husband ever!

Umm I think she is adorable. End of story.

***

Saturday night I went out with another friend and went to a restaurant bar called YardHouse. This was not my favorite place in the world let me tell ya. For one, on a Saturday night around 9:30 for dinner and drinks, this place was dead! The floors were very slippery to walk gracefully over in my heels. I ordered a Mint Julpe that was so strong I thought I'd sprout hairs on my chest. I mean STRONG. This Irish gal can take a good drink.. but man alive this was straight bourbon! The creme burlee which is one of my favorite desserts, wasn't very good either.. we were bummed that's for sure.

Next time we are going to My Big Fat Greek Restaurant and if she approves I'll actually include pictures of her adorable self as well :)

Happy Birthday to ME

I work four tens at my current job and love having my one day off a week. For me, this day is Wednesday. What? Why not Friday? Well, for one there was about three other people fighting over that day and two its the perfect time for a break! September 9th is my official birthday. Which I'll be spending with a bag few pieces of white cheddar popcorn and Funny Girl with friends.

~
But as my own special birthday gift to myself i decided to take me to go see a wonderful concert with Ray LaMontange and David Gray as the musicians! if you have never listened to either of these artists I highly recommend them both!

~

The venue was small enough to have a great seat no matter where you sit. But large enough to have a crowd at the only ladies room during the breaks.
Ray LaMontange

I love him. He is shy and beautiful
~

David Gray
Adorable, energetic, and delivers a good show!
~
My day started with a LaStone massage by a good friend of mine, and fellow classmate. Stone therapy isn't generally one that I like. I think the stones feel great to be massaged with, but I'm a lover of stretching! I love to have a massage where its painlessly deep and stretch out the muscle. So this therapy tends to make me feel stiff. Needless to say that my friend is amazing! And i was able to drift in and out of sleep for the...wait for it.. Free Two Hour Session!

~
I spent the afternoon catching up on my Gossip Girl and packing my shot glasses.. classy ;)

~
The concert started at 7:30pm. I immediately hit the 3 major concert musts:
*Found the ladies room
*Found the bar
*Bought my concert T

Luckily my row had a few empty seats so we were able to spread out about every other chair, so my purse had a home other then a sticky concert floor YAY.

I love a concert just before it starts. The alternative music ahead while you find your seat and set up camp in your chair. The excitement when the lights go down. I get butterflies every time, as if I am the one that is about to go on and preform. The light from a stage hands' flash light and seeing the musicians take their place at their  posts in the darkness.. and then I smile at the growing rumble from the crowd...cheers..requests...hoots..clapping...

{Please forgive these pictures, they were taken with my phone}
Ray had the perfect set. I sat in tears for the first three songs which all happened to be my favorite of his. Right now in my life I feel very alone. Not in a sad way.. just in a real way. Sitting, alone, listening to him sing the songs that have been my best friends these past few months was so moving that I forgot about all the other people. They became grey fuzz and it was as if I was a fly on the wall listening to him pour his heart out.

The following songs were amazing! Up beat and southern thru and thru! Deep base and drum beats with a hardy harmonica, and lyrics that had me on my feet and rockin out. I was a literally jitter bug in my seat shoulder shaking and toe taping until I couldn't take it anymore!

He lulled us in and out of his closing song which made me fall in love all over again.  The perfect set.

David Gray came out onto the stage like a bat out of hell! And I loved it. I wasn't expecting this kind of energy from him. but the man had the most unique way of moving to the music he wrote. It was silly and immediately put a grin on my face.. one that pretty much stayed there the entire time. his movements were a cross between a conductor of an orchestra, and that of Elvis Presley in his hip shaking hair tossing days. I love Him.
When he started in on one of his last numbers a few people down front ran to the front of the stage (finally!) I waited to see how security would react and when they did nothing (some toe tapping themselves) I said to hell with my lonely seat and jetted down the stairs to join in! Ray came on stage for their encore set. it was so much fun, David climbed on his piano clapping playing singing. So much fun. I was beaming! I probably pissed off a few crowed pushers on the way out by the way I smiled at everyone around me. I couldn't help it!
I have a tradition with myself that started young to meet the people I see preform who move me. And this concert was certainly not about to be an exception. David came out the doors and b-lined to the crowd that had gathered behind me at the barricades and started to give autographs and pictures.

As the crowd fizzled down the streets, back to their cars and cabs, it was my turn. He was so gracious, so calm, so close ;) and so British! He had a hard time with the spelling of my name (no thanks to my nervous ramblings  I'm sure) cracked a few jokes, and when I realized I was making David Gray... The David Gray laugh I didn't care anymore and exclaimed, "You know what, spelling it however I really don't care". He laughed again and said to me, "No no, now I'm invested stay with my i think I'm about to get it..E.T.E?"

I smiled.. this was wrong lol. I repeated the order of the letters again and he made the "phew" gesture when it was done and promptly put his arm around me for a hug and the picture...
He laughed because I didn't turn to the camera and smile I just kinda kept looking at him lol. But he was so sweet and so funny. And this was the same person who was so beautiful on stage moments ago singing this beautiful song, moving in the most amazing way. Before moving to the last girl there he turned and gave me a squeeze. Then the next moment belonged to the next girl.. "..thank you David Gray.." giddy I whispered as I took her camera and snapped away.

Ray LaMontange wasn't going to come to us. Someone had already come to tell us. he is the shyest performer I have ever seen. it makes you feel as though it isn't so much as a show as it is this.. secret he is sharing with you. And in some ways.. thats better. So I resorted to the junior high school of thought, "if he wont came to me, I'll pass a note to him!" and so I did. I waved over a man who was going in and out of his bus and handed him the note. My mom and a few others wanted to know.. "what did you saaay?" but without any corniness, it was very personal. And so I'm keeping that between he and I. he got the note, stared at it. I have never been so nervous. he touched one hand over his heart and waved at me. then I could go home!

I yelped on the way home "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" and I meant it!
